- Receiving a Master’s Degree from one of the only four accredited medical illustration programs in the world:
- Augusta University (previously Medical College of Georgia)
- Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
- University of Illinois at Chicago
- University of Toronto
- Knowledge of anatomy and medicine along with work experience in the legal field to understand what is beneficial to visualizing a case.
- Anyone can call themself a medical illustrator. With today’s technology, it could be easy to trick an Attorney, who has not taken medical school courses and may not have tried cases involving a particular field of medicine before, into thinking a non-accredited or inexperienced illustrator knows what they are doing.
