MediVisuals, Inc. (“MediVisuals”), the industry leader in medical-legal visual demonstratives, announced today that legal industry veteran Stephen Cole has been named Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Cole brings over 25 years’ experience in legal services, having held various leadership positions in sales, strategy, marketing, and operations. Mr. Cole joins MediVisuals most recently from Epiq, where he was responsible for business development and marketing for the global cyber incident response offering.
Mr. Cole takes over responsibilities from Lance LaFortune. For over 30 years Mr. LaFortune helped build the MediVisuals brand as the most experienced and one of the largest medical demonstrative evidence providers in North America, assisting in securing billions in successful client outcomes. Mr. LaFortune will transition into the role of Chief Technology Officer and remain part of the senior team. “Stephen’s leadership experience in legal services will help MediVisuals in its evolution as the leader in the medical visuals space,” said Lance LaFortune.
MediVisuals executed an ownership transition in December of 2021 which allowed for long-time industry veteran and MediVisual’s President Robert (Bob) Shepherd to enjoy a well-earned retirement. Mr. LaFortune, who had been COO of the company, has served as the CEO since that time.
